A Diagnosis

As your doctor, this is really difficult for me to say: You're going to die. That means—I had to consult a mythology expert—one day you won't wake up, at all. I realize this has never happened to anyone else on this planet. Frankly, I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around it. Apparently you won't self-heal anymore—it seems to be written into your genes. Which implies you should prepare to, kind of, wrap things up? As in, stop learning, growing, and creating. Luckily we've checked your many children, and none of them have this mutation. So they'll be fine.
