Box Office Gold

The movie started off anemically, but within weeks, rose to #1 at the box office. People saw it multiple times a day, refusing to leave the theaters. Viewers got married during it, consummated during it; by month ten, babies were being born to it. Folks changed their names and those of their children to reflect the characters’ names. People on their deathbeds begged for it to be the last sight they saw. Philosophies, fields of study, entire religions arose based on close readings of every line. But hey, there are certainly worse things one could believe in than a movie.
