Neckmonster

Ravi wasn't sure why it had taken him until age 16 to discover the monster growing out the back of his neck. The little thing’s blunt-nosed face, beady eyes, and unaligned teeth truly disturbed him. Sure, he’d never been able to sleep on his back, but somehow no one had ever pointed out the anomaly—perhaps for fear of being insensitive. Or maybe the tiny creature had just grown there recently. Now it was harassing him nonstop, begging to partner with him on a few sketchy business ideas. Pretty soon, Ravi would have to shut it up, one way or another.
