You’ll get a reward whether you bring him in dead or alive. However, be aware that he often appears in multiple other states, which can be rather deceiving. For example, at times he appears in his gaseous state. He’s also been cross-temporal at times (pun mostly intended). He may be in a tun state, which is easy to mistake for dead, but is actually alive(ish). Then you’ve got pupal form, noncorporeal form, whisper on a breeze, odor only, exploding, genetically regressed, demolecularized, reverse-aging, or audio-only. We’ll accept him in any of these other formats—except audio-only, which is simply unbearable.
